A teenager girl and her mother held a protest after the girl’s school yearbook photo was rejected for being too revealing.

Sydney Spies, 18, organised the protest after administrators at Durango High School told her the senior portrait she submitted would not be printed.

She claims she was told it was rejected because her attire in the photo violated the school’s dress code.

The high school in Durango, Colorado requires student to wear tops that ‘fully cover the chest, back, abdomen and sides of the student.’

But the photo Sydney handed in shows her wearing a short yellow shirt with nothing but a black shawl wrapped around her chest exposing her shoulders and midsection.

‘It's a little different from everyone else's picture,’ she told the Durango Herald.

But she said she chose it because it was a picture which best represented her personality.

‘I feel like they aren't allowing me to have my freedom of expression," she said, according to the Herald.

Sydeny and her mother Miki held a protest outside the school on Wednesday with friends to make their paint by waving handwritten signs.

DHS Principal Diane Lashinsky and assistant principal LeAnne Garcia declined requests for comment from the Herald about the issue.

Sydney said she has arranged a meeting with the principal on Friday morning to discuss the issue.

Christina Aguilera is one of the most talented singers around and has put her ability to good use spotting talent on The Voice.

But Christina Aguilera was in need of support in more ways than one as she stepped out to promote the second series of the talent show in California today.

The 31-year-old singer went bra-less in a Thomas Wylde dress as she attended a press conference at The Langham Huntington.

The low cut ensemble did nothing to complement her curves and she ended up looking a little deflated.

She teamed the unflattering dress with a long silver necklace which simply highlighted her chest.

Christina teamed the leopard print frock with bright red lips and flicked out eyeliner and rouged cheeks.

The singer was joined by fellow coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Cee Lo Green.

While she might need support in the wardrobe department Christina will be aided on the second series of the show with a whole host of A-list mentors.

Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, Lionel Richie and Alanis Morissette are all said to be joining the panel as guests for the next series.

The recent Janelle Manahan sex video scandal could land individuals who share the footage online in serious trouble. A recent warning from Senator Bong Revilla indicates it could put those who share the video in jail.

The Janelle Manahan video involves filmed sexual intercourse between the actress and her deceased boyfriend, Ramgen Revilla. It’s believed by Manahan’s camp that the video was uploaded, allegedly by family members of Ramgen, in order to harass her and prevent her from testifying against potential murder suspects.

A previous report said that Senator Ramon Revilla Jr. has issued a stern warning that anyone who watches the video or shares it could wind up behind bars. In a press statement, Senator Revilla commented:

“Ramgen’s murder was bad enough, now, they are taking away his dignity.”

Senator Revilla was instrumental in bringing back Ramona Bautista, the half-sister of Ramgen Revilla. She is considered the prime murder suspect, and fled for Turkey. Now the Senator is looking to get serious in arresting anyone involved in the Janelle Manahan sex video scandal. He was called upon recently by Janelle to go after whoever is responsible for the sex tape video’s uploading and sharing.

The Senator previously said regarding distribution or download of the video:

“This means that every person who downloads, copies and sends the video is guilty of committing the offense, regardless if they were the original uploaders.”

This case is sounding very similar to other recent US celebrity cases including Erin Andrews, who was a victim of a peeping Tom at a hotel, and also Scarlett Johansson, who had nude photos from her cell phone stolen and leaked online. The tough aspect here is rounding up all the people who share or download the video online, as that can extend to thousands or millions, thanks to the viral nature of the Internet. Not only that, but it could be all around the globe, making for a lot of work to apprehend everyone involved.

No Pants Subway Ride 2012 is soon approaching! This weekend riders will hop a train in NYC without pants all for a little silliness. All in good fun, the No Pants Subway Ride has grown over the years and is now its 11th official ride.

Started by Improv Everywhere, the goal is for riders to get on the subway train dressed in normal winter clothes (without pants) and keep a straight face. Without giggling or whispering to friends, the point is to act as if everything is okie-dokie.

Bob Weston Died: Fleetwood Mac Guitarist Bob Weston Found Dead in London

Former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Bob Weston has died at the age of 64 in London.

Weston’s official website said on Friday he was found dead at his home in north London by police on Tuesday after friends became concerned that they had not heard from him for several days.

“Cause of death has been attributed to a gastrointestinal hemorrhage,” said a message posted by the website’s webmaster and Weston friend Steve Fairhead.

London police confirmed Weston’s death, and said they were not treating it as suspicious.

Weston joined Fleetwood Mac in 1972 as a replacement for Danny Kirwan, and played on the albums “Penguin” in 1973 and “Mystery to Me” later the same year.

But according to online biographies, during an American tour Mick Fleetwood discovered Weston was having an affair with his wife, Jenny Boyd, and Weston was sacked in 1974.

He went on to release several solo albums and played with musicians including Long John Baldry and Murray Head.

“My family and I have lost a dear friend; the world has lost an enormously talented musician, with unfinished business,” Fairhead wrote on the website.

Air Balloon Crash: 11 Killed In Hot Air Balloon Crash In New Zealand

All 11 people on board a hot air balloon which crashed in a ball of flames in New Zealand early Saturday morning were killed, police and medical officials said.

Police confirmed there were “multiple deaths”, and a local district health board spokeswoman Jill Stringer said none of the 11 people on board the balloon survived. The hot air balloon went down near Carterton, a small town just north of the capital Wellington and a popular area for hot air ballooning.

Police said there was no immediate indication of what caused the early morning tragedy which occurred in fine weather with minimal wind. However, one witness, David McKinlay, told reporters he looked up to see one side of the basket on fire and “all of a sudden there was just 10 metres of flames”.

“It was like a rocket coming down; it was just unbelievable,” he said. McKinlay, who alerted the emergency services, said the balloon was about 150 metres in the air when it plummeted to
the ground.

Another witness told Fairfax News he was looking out of his window when he saw the balloon appear to hit a power cable.

“The people were enjoying a nice ride and by the looks of it they clipped a power wire,” he said.

“Then I heard the screams and looked out the window and heard it coming down. I was having my breakfast and I heard them. They sounded like screams of joy but they weren’t.

“It wasn’t coming from a great deal of height. I ran down the road to see if I could help but by that
stage it was too late. it was just burned out. By the time the emergency services got there, there wasn’t much of a chance.”

Two of the passengers are believed to have leaped from the burning basket and were found in a nearby paddock. Police say they were first alerted to the tragedy at 7:26 am (local time) and websites for ballooning companies in Carterton, about 150 kilometres north of Wellington, recommend early morning flights.

Reporters at the scene said the crash site has been cordoned off and only emergency workers and the families of those on board the balloon are being allowed through.
