| Bangalore – There will be no power cut for 3 years, says CM B S Yeddyurappa Posted: 17 Aug 2010 10:38 PM PDT Bangalore, Wednesday, August 18, 2010: Promising the moon once again, chief minister B S Yeddyurappa said on Tuesday that the government has taken steps to make Karnataka a power-cut free state for the next three years. "We have decided to sign an advance pact with Power Exchange of India to purchase 1,000 MW annually to ensure that are no major interruptions in the electricity supply for the next three years," the CM told reporters after a meeting here. This pact, he said would hold well even if hydel reservoirs are full. |
