Sweety Singh was detained in the national capital on Thursday by CBI officers when he was accepting the bribe of Rs.1 crore and was brought to Mumbai later in the evening. Patil had alleged in his complaint that Sweety Singh had demanded a bribe of Rs.3 crore, which was later brought down to Rs.1 crore, for settling the case as his father is in the authority of the department. He is alleged to have told the contractor that he will “finish off” the case as his father was the chairperson of the Commission. "We have detained him (Sarabjot) for questioning,” CBI Joint Director (West Zone) Rishi Raj said. Raj said three people have been arrested in connection with the case but did not give any further information. He added, "We have brought Sweety Singh from New Delhi in connection with the bribery case. We are also trying to ascertain his involvement in some other financial transactions including hawala deals."
