| Ruby Singh Commits Suicide: Bhojpuri Actress Ruby Singh Commits Suicide In Mumbai Posted: 10 Feb 2012 09:44 PM PST Bhojpuri film actress Ruby Singh allegedly committed suicide at her rented flat in suburban Goregaon, police said. Ruby Singh hanged herself in the flat when she was alone. The 25-year-old left behind a note written in Hindi in which she has said nobody should be held responsible for her suicide, they said. The reason behind the extreme step taken by the actress, who hails from Bihar, was not yet clear, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) M Patil. Ruby’s parents reside at Patna. The incident came to light when one of her friends came to meet her. “Ruby did not respond to the repeated door knocks by her friend. Worried, he forced open the door and found Ruby¿s body hanging from the ceiling fan,” Patil added. India Offers Asylum To Maldives’ Nasheed Posted: 10 Feb 2012 09:12 PM PST The Indian government has offered asylum to deposed Maldivian president Mohamed Nasheed, a report said on Saturday. The former president of Maldives has, however, showed willingness to stay back in the Indian Ocean nation. Reacting to the crisis in Maldives, India on Friday established a contact with top political leaders of the island nation with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh sending his special envoy and favouring resolution of the problem through dialogue. Indian High Commissioner to Maldives DM Mulay reportedly spoke to Nasheed on Thursday and explicitly asked him if he sought any "assistance". Nasheed said he doesn't require any help "as of now". Reports also claim that India had offered shelter to Nasheed's family as well, which is now in Colombo. A government source said the term "assistance" is a "broad" one, indicating that it might include "asylum" as well. M Ganapathi, secretary (west) in the External Affairs Ministry, left for Male yesterday to listen to all voices and assess the situation in Maldives after the ouster of Mohammad Nasheed as president earlier this week. Nasheed had quit as president on Tuesday making way for Vice President Mohammad Waheed Hassan but later claimed that he was forced to quit with guns all around him and hit the streets with his supporters demanding he be reinstated to the top post. Ganapathi met Nasheed and his successor Waheed and conveyed India’s willingness to assist in early installation of a national unity government in the Indian Ocean atoll. Waheed Hassan is understood to have assured India that he would not indulge in a witch-hunt while dealing with Nasheed. Government sources said India believed that Nasheed was not ousted in a coup, as claimed by him, but had stepped down owing to weeks of violent protests. Nasheed, a former political prisoner, came to power in 2008 after successfully challenging the 30-year-old autocratic regime of Maumoon Abdul Gayoom. Related posts:

Trishala has studied forensic science and a forensic expert is what she will be. It sums up Sanju's vision of his female colleagues in the film industry as well as the sharp line he draws between the women of his family and 'the girls outside'. It makes the curious Kalki-Anurag collaboration all the more refreshing as one just saw the husband directing his wife in a raw, stark film like That Girl In The Yellow Boots where she works in a massage parlour, giving 'hand jobs' to some of the customers for a heftier fee. Kalki's own French mother hated watching her daughter do that film.But, perhaps because they are so professionally clinical about the work they do, you don't find it one bit sleazy. Nor does husband directing wife in a grimy role make you squirmy. Au contraire, watching their approach to cinema makes you want to raise a toast to both of them – the immensely talented Kalki for coming off with dignity whether she's doing a disturbing That Girl In Yellow Boots, a psychotic Shaitaan or a breezy Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and Anurag for simply not toeing the accepted male line: "It's fine for other heroines but my wife or my daughter can't do it". Because there’s just no way that he can be smart enough to own and operate a successful winery and still be dumb enough not to have figured out that Courtney Robertson is playing him like a cheap game of strip poker. That is, of course, unless he’s sucking back way too much of the “drink” while on the job. There have been some pretty nutty chicks who have appeared on past seasons of The Bachelor, so it’s really not that big of a surprise that there is someone who has a  Courtney Robertson Sex Tape And just when we thought Courtney couldn’t possibly get any more bizarre, new rumors suggest that she may have a sex tape floating around. Pick your jaw up off the floor, already. Are you really that shocked? Although the terms of the said deal haven’t been disclosed, the report in an update stated that “LetsBuy's valuation was between $20-25 million. Another suggests that it is upwards of $25-30 million, depending on the payout.” However, some sources still deny to confirm any news, stating that, “LetsBuy is the second largest player in the country, and is the strongest competitior to Flipkart. The software giant will talk about the forthcoming release on that date and hold what is essentially a massive public beta of the next-generation operating system, an overhaul intended to stress the growing importance of tablet computers and smartphones to the overall world of technology, reported Fox News. Users will most likely be able to download the software for free that day, though Microsoft refused to confirm when it would be available. The new operating system boasts a completely revamped user interface Microsoft calls “Metro.” It will run on top of the conventional interface and is intended to work not just with the world’s hundreds of millions of Windows computers but also with the emerging mobile devices that have taken consumers by storm. The new interface will display applications as tiles for quick and easy access, while also allowing them to toggle back to a classic Windows look. Other user interface changes already unveiled include a new “lock screen” for the operating system that gives far more information at a glance than the current iteration of Windows and pervasive touch input controls – yet another a signal that Microsoft will be focused on devices that emphasize touch. The ministers – Lakshman Savadi, CC Patil and Krishna Palemar – may be asked to resign as MLAs too. The issue led to a high-voltage uproar in the Assembly as it convened today, with Opposition members shouting “shame, shame”. They demanded that the three BJP MLAs be expelled. The House was adjourned for half-an-hour. All floor leaders of the Karnataka Assembly met before the House convened. The BJP says the ministers resigned voluntarily. The trio reportedly said they were keen “to save the party’s image.” Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda of the BJP forwarded their resignations to the Governor. The resignations have been accepted. The ministers were filmed by a local channel that was broadcasting proceedings in the Assembly. Sources say the ministers allegedly viewed two clips on a phone – one was pornographic, the other was a news story on a rape. According to reports, the person holding the mobile phone in the video clip shown by the channel is Mr Savadi. The person sitting next to him is Mr Patil. The phone allegedly belonged to Mr Palemar, who gave it to Mr Savadi, sources say. The BJP is red-faced and in a huddle at the highest level. It points out that the ministers have resigned and says an inquiry will be held into the matter. BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman also said that appropriate action would be taken against the BJP men if they were found guilty. “If it has happened, it is very worrying,” she said. “It is a very unfortunate incident,” added the party’s Arun Jaitley. The Opposition is in no mood to back down, and has even demanded the Chief Minister’s resignation over the matter. The Congress’ Veerappa Moily says the ministers’ resignation is not enough for the “shameless act”; the ministers, he says, should be suspended by the Assembly Speaker and should be arrested for “violating the law and the sanctity of the Assembly.” Cellphones are not allowed inside Assembly and watching porn is illegal, apart from the charges of “morality and perversity” that the Congress has levelled. One of the ministers, Lakshman Savadi held a press conference yesterday to deny the accusations. Mr Savadi said the cellphone he used to view the content was not his. He also said the clip he watched “was of four people molesting a foreigner.” He added, “I am not a criminal.” Discussions between BJP top leadership and state party leaders are currently underway. There were reports that BJP president Nitin Gadkari, currently in Uttar Pradesh, phoned Karnataka Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda and the party’s state unit chief K S Eshwarappa last night and discussed the incident. Mr Savadi’s house was stoned last evening by protesters who were then taken away by the police. | Google Terminator Glasses: Google Working On Terminator Glasses Reportedly In Works Posted: 07 Feb 2012 07:01 PM PST An unnamed source has revealed more details about Google’s futuristic “Terminator” glasses to 9to5 Google. According to the tipster, the glasses, which 9to5 first wrote about in December, will feature an augmented reality display that will give the an user a unique view of his or her surroundings, a view more advanced than one viewed through traditional glasses and more immersive than on a smartphone. The glasses, which could look like Oakley Thumps (shown here), will reportedly be controlled by a user’s head-tilts. These glasses aren’t the only top secret project that Google is working on. According to VentureBeat, the search giant recently hired an Apple senior director of product integrity to work on a top secret project that will likely be under the direction of Google co-founder Sergey Brin. In November, The New York Times reported that Brin leads Google’s super secret projects out of a mysterious Bay Area lab called Google X, The Times article stated the that futuristic projects being developed at Google X include, a space elevator, driverless cars, and of course lots of robots. Prototypes of the driverless cars actually made their debut in 2010. According to a New York Times article from the time, the seven test cars, which had a passenger on board to take over if things went awry, drove a combined distance of 1,000 miles with zero human help. We’re not talking about driving around a race track either, the cars drove on California’s notoriously curvy Highway 1, and one even made it down San Francisco’s Lombard Street which with eight hairpin turns is one of the crookedest streets in San Francisco. Google is also taking on ambitious, and even science fiction-like technology as part of its recently-announced Solve for X forum dedicated to “moonshot thinking,” which Google defines as “[e]fforts that take on global-scale problems, define radical solutions to those problems, and involve some form of breakthrough technology that could actually make them happen.” HuffPost Tech senior editor Bianca Bosker compared the invitation-only Solve for X gathering that happened over the weekend, to the annual TED conference.
