Organizers said that around 35,000 people watched the shows in Long Island (New York), Atlantic City (New Jersey) and Fairfax (Virginia). Rahman and his troupe mesmerized the audience with a medley of songs, including 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' and 'Humma humma'. The concert is a blend of new technologies with dance arrangements and acrobatics. A major theme of the concert series is the heritage and traditions of India. “I think people have been really kind. They have showed us too much of love. We are still tweaking a bit but on the whole it's a great vibrations are there. I don't know whether it's a Bollywood production but for us we wanted to push the boundaries and make it all very cohesive and a complete show. Washington, June 15 (ANI): Oscar winning music maestro A R Rahman kicked off his Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour' with back-to-back performances in three cities in the United States during the weekend.
International singer Akon seems to be making the most of his time in Mumbai. After performing for a select gathering on Monday night and attending a press conference with SRK and Kareena Kapoor for their upcoming movie (for which hes recording a song) the next afternoon, he was seen partying the night away on Tuesday. Shah Rukh Khan hosted a big bash to introduce Akon to his Bollywood buddies, and cars streamed into Mannat as Karan Johar, Abhay Deol, Fardeen and Natasha Khan, Goldie and Sonali Behl, Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jessia, Chunky and Bhavna Pandey, Kunal Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, Ritesh Sidhwani and Ayaan Mukherjee stepped out. Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor entered with Neelam and Seema Khan while Dino Morea came with Nandita Mahtani and Renu Chainani. Uday Chopra drove down with Hrithik and Sussanne Roshan, the two men catching up on old times through the night.
