Economy Class * Carry-on baggage: 1 piece weighing up to 22lbs/10Kgs, and measuring up to 45in/114cm. Baggage pieces that weigh between 51lbs/22Kg and 70lbs/31Kg, and measure up to 62in/157cm, have an additional charge of US$55 each. Baggage pieces weighing more than 70lbs/31Kg, but less than 100lbs/45Kg; or measuring between 63in/160cm and 85in/215cm, are considered standby bags and have an additional charge of US$125 each. In this case, if the same bag is both, overweight and oversized, only one charge will apply. Business Class * Carry-on baggage: 1 piece weighing up to 22 lbs/10Kgs, and up to 45 linear in/114cm (length + height + width). Charges for additional baggage pieces * Up to 4 additional pieces weighing less than or equal to 50lbs/22Kg, and measuring up to 62in/157cm each one, have an additional charge of US$175 each. Starting from piece 5, the charge becomes US$200 per piece. None of the charges include taxes; therefore some local taxes may apply. Remember that all your additional pieces, aside from the free baggage allowance, travel as standby bags. Baggage fees are subject to change without prior notice. In order to ensure that during the end-of-year high season TACA Airlines’s passengers receive their two freely-allowed suitcases on time, please note that from November 15, 2009 to January 10, 2010, TACA Airlines will not be accepting standby baggage on flights traveling from Orlando, Chicago and Toronto to Central or South America. * Applies to overweight and oversized extra pieces and boxes. |
