Kerala State Road Transport Corporation: KSRTC Online Ticket Booking

Kerala State Road Transport Corporation is a state run bus in Kerala India. It is one of the oldest state bus service. Earlier it was known as Travancore Road Transport Corporation. At that time, there were countable buses such as 661 bus schedules and 31 lorry schedules. It consisted of 901 buses, 51 lorries, 29 other vehicles.

The history of Kerala State Road Transport Corporation began whilst the development of the transport industry it wasn’t booming enough like today. The Travancore State Transport Department was constituted by the erstwhile Travancore Government with a view to reorganize the transport service of the State.Mr E.G. Salter, Assistant, Operating Supdt of London Passenger Transport Board was appointed as Supdt on 20.9.1937

Kerala State Road Corporation was established in 1965, 15th March. This new service provides 30 new buses, 8 new lorries, 10 old buses and 7 old lorries and one tractor for other services.

Fare: 55 paise for City/Ordinary Services 57 paise for City Fast/Fast Passenger/Limited Stop Fast Passenger Services, 60 paise for Super Fast Services, 65 paise for Super Express Services, 75 paise for Super Deluxe/Semi Sleeper Services, 90 paise for Luxury/High-Tech/Air Conditioned Services and 110 paise for Volvo Services. The prescribed minimum charge as revised are: Rs.4.00 for City/Ordinary services/City Fast Services, Rs.5.00 for Fast passenger/ Limited Stop Fast Passenger Services, Rs.10.00 for Super Fast Services, Rs.15.00 for Super Express, Rs.20 for Super Deluxe/ Semi Sleeper Services and Rs.30 for Luxury/Hi-tech/Air Conditioned/Volvo Services. The revised fares effect from 00.00 hours on 12-07-2008.

Everyday nearly, 5373 buses run on 4795 schedules.
