| Remembering Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Victims 6th August 1945 Posted: 05 Aug 2010 10:14 AM PDT The United States dropped an atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima 65 years ago on 6th August 1945, killing an estimated 140,000 people.It brought a swift end to World War II and since then, the US and its allies have avoided annual ceremonies commemorating that day. However, this year Britain, France, the US and even Ban-Ki moon, the UN secretary-general, will be attending the ceremony in Hiroshima for the first time.For atomic bomb survivors attending, the ceremony offers hope of a world that one day could be free of nuclear weapons. This year will be the 65th anniversary of the bombing on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, two Japanese cities. The bombings took place in 1945 during the final stages of World War II killing lakhs. | Independence Day Of India A Major Terror Threat In Kerala Posted: 05 Aug 2010 08:40 AM PDT A new outfit is under scanner in Kerala for its alleged anti-India ideology. The Popular Front of India (PFI) calls India its enemy and asks for ‘total Muslim empowerment’. The documents seized from raids portray the nation as its enemy and calls to work towards ‘total Muslim empowerment'.The documents also describe the so-called ‘freedom parade’ organised by the PFI at various centers on Independence Day, as a means to motivate and rejuvenate Muslims. They Celebrate Indian Independence Day by arranging for Parades which they want to show as their strength and improve coordinating with other terror groups.It is considered as a front of many ISI Sponsored terror cells in South India. The Popular Front of India was in the news recently after its activists chopped the hands of a college lecturer, T J Joseph, who allegedly set a question paper, which hurt Muslim sentiments. Meanwhile, speaking to Times Now, Kerala’s Education Minister, M A Baby said that the state government would soon be banning the Freedom Parade organised by PFI activists on every Independence Day in the light of the attack on Joseph.
