All SMS messages are forwarded to members of your group for free. You may be charged standard SMS rates for accessing GupShup from mobile phones (typically Rs. 3 per message). Can I send messages longer than 140 characters? Yes. You can send group messages upto 640 characters long, using SMS GupShup’s paid SMS service. These SMS are sent with higher priority and will reach your recepients faster. Advertisements are not appended to these messages. Just recharge your account with GupShup Credits and you are ready to go. How much do paid messages cost? Each paid SMS message of 140 chars costs Rs. 0.07 and in multiples of that thereof. The maximum length of a paid message can be 640 characters (Rs. 0.35). You must have sufficient balance in your prepaid account to send paid messages. If you send paid message to a group, you will be charged for each outgoing message. How much does each SMS greeting cost? Most SMS greetings have a price range of Rs. 3-5. Some of them are even FREE. How do I pay for SMS greetings? You must maintain sufficient balance in your prepaid account to send SMS greetings from SMS GupShup website or SMS GupShup mobile website. When you send a SMS greeting by SMS, you will be charged standard short code rates (typically Rs. 3 per message) by your phone carrier. How can I recharge my prepaid account? You can recharge your SMS GupShup prepaid account by creating an account on SMS GupShup and clicking on Recharge button after login. What payment methods are accepted by GupShup? GupShup accepts payment using credit cards (VISA & Mastercard), online net banking and cash cards (ZipCash & ItzCash). You can also pay by mailing GupShup a cheque or making a bank deposit at any ICICI branch. To recharge your prepaid account, click on the Recharge button after logging into SMS GupShup and follow the instructions. Can I recharge my prepaid account using net-banking? Yes, you can buy credits using net-banking. GupShup also allow net-banking with following banks: Oriental Bank of Commerce, Bank of Rajasthan, ICICI Bank, AXIS Bank and Corporation Bank. To recharge your prepaid account, click on the Recharge button after logging into SMS GupShup and follow the instructions. Is my credit card information secure on GupShup? SMS GupShup uses 128-bit encryption using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). All communication between your browser and SMS GupShup payment gateways is completely encrypted. If you believe that your credit card, debit card, or cash card is lost or otherwise compromised, please notify GupShup by email GupShup at support@smsgupshup.com. How can I send a paid message from my GupShup account? To send a paid message, login to your account and select the “Paid” message option above the message posting textbox. Can I send paid messages by SMS? You must use SMS GupShup website to send paid messages. SMS GupShup does not charge you to send messages by SMS. However, your phone carrier may charge you to send these messages (typically Rs. 3 per message). How many paid messages can I send? There is no limit on number of paid messages that you can send through SMS GupShup. What are subscription fees for premium groups? The monthly subscription charges vary across the various premium groups. However, most premium groups are priced at Rs. 30/month. How do I pay subscription fees? You can pay subscription fees by two ways: a. Online payment: You can register on SMS GupShup website with your mobile phone number, add funds to your prepaid account and click on Renew button on the premium group page. b. Cheque: You can find the details of the cheque payment methods on SMS GupShup Website. How do I leave a premium group after I have paid the monthly subscription? You can leave a premium group by sending LEAVE followed by group-name to 567678, or by logging into the SMS GupShup website and leaving the group. Will SMS GupShup credit my payment back if I leave before the expiry of the paid subscription period? The amount paid for being a part of the premium group will not be refunded once the user leaves the premium group.
